The epiphany I had as a result of Dr. Vitale’s fateful e-mail was I instead focus entirely on dissipating the hurricane itself…

I decided to do focused meditations combining mind over matter with my energy healing and meditation training.

With 23 hours to go before hurricane Rita would make landfall in Houston Texas, my plan was to specifically:

1)  Manifest a reduction in wind speed of the hurricane.

2)  Manifest a much lighter rainfall instead of the typical severe flooding.

3)  Manifest a much higher soil absorption rate of the water.

4)  Manifest calmer seas.

5)  Manifest a powerful clock wise rotation on the hurricane’s “eye wall” *(the Inside) to counteract the counterclockwise rotation of the hurricanes forceful winds.

I did these focused hurricane dissipation meditations for 45 min. took a 15 min. break and continued for another 45 min.  I did this over the next 23 hours.

I empowered myself by mentally envisioning being actually in the center of the hurricane’s eye.

At the time I did not have any satellite photos of Hurricane Rita so I used Hurricane Katrina as a focal point.

This is a satellite photo of the devastating category 5 165 mph Hurricane Katrina.

I applied all of my unleashed passions to save lives combined with my extensive mind over matter and energy healing training to manifest my 5 desired intentions and to calm the massive turbulence with healing vibrations of vivid positive visualization.

One of the focused positive visualizations I unleashed by hurricane Rita besides my 5 desired manifestations was of a hurricane dissipation into a vividly beautiful day of inspiration –  an entirely different alternate reality….

At the end of 23 grueling hours –  it was a measurable success! Hurricane Rita started out as 165 mile an hour category 5 monster that was actually larger and potentially more deadly than Hurricane Katrina. Within only 23 hours left before landfall,  I was able to achieve a remarkable 60+ mile-per-hour reduction in wind speeds. This resulted in the critical difference between considerable flooding, or absolute wiped off the map destruction even more so than Hurricane Katrina.

The following was just a handful of incredible breakthrough examples made possible through the infinite powers of healing meditation.

Meditation for healing can be used to drastically improve the healing of virtually any disease.  Meditation is also one of the finest ways to improve mental focus, alleviate depression and re-center a person’s state of being  with a feeling of clarity, vibrant wellness, spiritual enlightenment and blissful inner peace.

At this moment I would like to pay a sacred spiritual homage to the man that gave me the inspirations of  infinite possibility through healing meditation – the late Maharishi, founder of Transcendental Meditation.

As I mentioned, I was on a unbridled passionate quest to find a solution to end even the deadliest hurricanes – forever ~

My background as an accomplished martial artist and energy healer were to serve me in yet unfathomable ways in the next few weeks…

As the world’s fastest martial artist with an incredible 8 punches in .97 seconds *Less than a Second! I have reached the pinnacle in athletic performance.

I studied a form of martial arts training called “Mind Over Matter” since I was 15. This amazing yet very forward thinking style of training began when I 1st observed my black belt neighbor breaking a cinderblock with his bare hand. I was stunned and absolutely fascinated with this remarkable achievement. A few years later I was invited to compete In Madison Square Garden’s felt forum in a international martial arts competition. It was there that my perceptions on what is humanly possible were stretched to previously unimaginable lengths.

The impeccable talents of the martial artist worldwide at the event were indeed astounding. But what fascinated me the most in terms of human performance ability live beyond the stationary forms competition and the fighting competitions.

My fascination? It was the absolutely stunning Mind Over Matter exhibitions later that evening…

A black belt came onto the center stage for all of us to watch. The removed his karate Gi top (uniform). Several assistants came onto the stage and laid out a large drop cloth. Several others came up with a garbage can filled with glass bottles of all shapes and sizes. Next an accomplished bodybuilder came up with a huge 16 pound sledgehammer. This bodybuilder began to smash down on all of the glass bottles that were placed inside the large metal garbage can.

The events that took place next defy human comprehension entirely ~

The hugely muscled bodybuilder finished breaking up the glass bottles in the garbage can. He then poured out the broken glass onto the drop cloth in a rectangular pile. Next several other assistants brought up a flatbed cart loaded with 4 300 pound slabs of ice.

The black belt with his Gi top off lied on top of the rectangular pile of broken glass.

I could not believe my eyes!

All of the assistants on stage began to place the for 300 pound slabs of ice on top of the lying prone black belts bare chest. This man must be hemorrhaging to death under all of that weight on the broken glass I thought!

Next it got REALLY freaky!

The huge bodybuilder with his 16 pound sledgehammer began to smash the ice on the black belts chest with 4 massive blows!

I was absolutely speechless!

Next the assistants cleaned off the black belts chest from the remaining ice pieces. They helped him up and wiped off his chest.

Totally amazing not a single bruise!

Then the black belt turned around and they wiped the glass pieces off his back…

Holy !!!!!! Not a Single Cut on his entire back!

That is the amazing power of mind over matter applied towards injury prevention…

Less than a month after deadly Hurricane Katrina struck the city of New Orleans with absolute devastation Hurricane Rita came storming up the Gulf of Mexico…

I got an e-mail from Dr. Joe Vitale of “The Secret” fame. Its headline read:

Help me stop Rita!

Dr. Vitale went on to describe the fact that Hurricane Rita was only 23 hours away from the town of Houston Texas. the doctor and I have been casual friends for half a dozen years or so. On occasion I would receive e-mails from him.

In this now fateful e-mail, Joe went on to describe rather fascinating proposition he had for me. He mentioned the late Maharishi’s breakthrough work with crime rate reduction in Washington DC in 1972. I was familiar with this fascinating research. The doctor propose that we use the power of positive thinking in a meditation to calm the now frantic crowds trying to flee the city.

I instantly had a Life Saving and now Life Transforming Epiphany…

Meditation is used in many ways by virtually all cultures across the globe today.

Meditation has its cultural roots going all the way back to the ancient Atlantean civilization. This civilization was far more advanced than ours currently today. The Atlantean’s in fact were known to live a life span of 200 to 250 years of age. Even more incredible was the fact that their youth had somehow been preserved to resemble a person of 30 to 50 years of age. This is just one example of the infinite possibilities available through meditation.

Meditation was carried forward to the ancient yogis from the Atlantean race many thousands of years ago. The yogis used this form of spiritual practice to become “one with the spirit” and to vastly enhance their mental and physical well-being on virtually every level.

Today the sacred practice of meditation is enjoyed within virtually every culture worldwide on 6 continents.

Meditative practice has been used for thousands of years to heal all sickness and disease both mentally and physically. Today this highly evolved spiritual practice has been used to optimize everything in the universe literally. For example in 1972 the late Maharishi combined a group of his highly trained meditators to perform breakthrough experiments in crime reduction. He and his group focused their projected meditative intentions towards reducing the crime rate in Washington DC.  Washington DC has one of the highest crime rates in the USA.

The results of this milestone experiment were astounding.

When the Maharishi’s experiment was concluded all of the police precincts within a radius Washington DC were extensively interviewed. When the results came back it was  jaw-dropping. Because this now legendary experiment had produced an astounding 16% reduction in crime rate throughout Washington DC…

The Maharishi was known for his groundbreaking “Transcendental Meditation”  style of meditative healing. back in the 60s and early 70s his teachings became legendary. Even Hollywood movie stars and world-famous musicians gravitated towards his work on meditation. This star-studded list included the likes of none other than Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds, Donovan, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Lennon of the Beatles.

The world can thank the late Maharishi for bringing forward to the Western world the gift of spiritual enlightenment through meditation. He was also the first one to combine this sacred practice with amazing scientific research to back up the results that previously had to be experienced to be fully understood and appreciated. We all him a tremendous amount of divine gratitude.

The PEAR that bore the fruit of projected positive intention

Another breakthrough example of the infinite powers of meditation for healing could be found within the PEAR project at Princeton University. This project focused on the mental capabilities of the human consciousness in many areas. One of these  studies was on the ability to influence a random effects generator to make more zeros then ones.

The PEAR became most famous for something far more truly extraordinary. On graduation day University of Princeton holds their graduation ceremonies outdoors. This is done simply because they cannot host these ceremonies for 15,000 graduates inside. Rain or shine, the graduation festivities continue on.

What about the possibility of rain or thunderstorms?

This is where the extraordinary comes into play. The University of Princeton has never had rain wash out their graduation ceremonies… How could this be possible? Influenced by their PEAR project classmates, the University of Princeton students consciously project the positive expectation of no rain for on graduation day. When this phenomenon was measured in a radius around the University, miraculously scientific studies prove there was very little to no rainfall on that given day for over 40 years…

0 More Katrina!

In 2005 Hurricane Katrina crushed the beloved city of New Orleans with absolute disaster. I found myself searching for an answer to end deadly hurricanes forever. I called my passionate quest “0 More Katrina”.

“When a group of a like-minded energy healers converge to heal a particular person, healing benefits are magnified considerably.”

Here are the Spiritual Awakening details ~

According to Spiritual Visionary and Earth Scientist Gregg Braden, “We only need 8000 people to make a difference on entire planet when we join together with the visualizations and prayers. Everyone Can make a difference…”

“Your work is to discover your purpose and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.” – Buddha

Visionary Scientist and Researcher David Wilcock reveals the Spiritual Awakening Significance of 2012

One of a variety of techniques I developed a is to mentally imagine yourself the peaceful translator of turbulent energy into peaceful serenity. Picture this as each breath is drawn deeply into your nose the turbulence of the impeding storm peacefully softened by inhaling in the turbulent energy and exhaling peaceful energy into the galaxy.

Work on perfecting the peaceful meditations in your daily life. This will further attune your mind, body and spirit for when a higher calling comes as well.

Over the next week he will release more exciting details on the milestone practice of hurricane prevention by dissipating deadly storms energies.

A pivotal factor is the quality of manifesting intentions a student of the concept focuses on. Combine his open-mindedness with focused mind over matter training and now you’re ready to accomplish a quantum leap forward in the Law of attraction.

A Spiritual Healer Connects to the Divine and Sends Energy Healing to their Spiritually Intended Client

“Healer 2.0 Healing” is an Evolution in Spiritual Healing, Energy Healing and Reiki Healing.

Suzanne Parnell, Ph.D provides a glimpse of the power of Reiki:

“Reiki, (ray-key) is an easy to learn, simple to use method of natural hands-on energy healing that promotes health and well being in both practitioners and recipients. To have and use Reiki, a person need do nothing more than be attuned by an empowered Master and have the intent to make healing energy available whenever they put their hands on themselves or someone else. It is that simple–and everyone can do it. Reiki is not a religion; it has no arcane dogma, no religious tenets; it requires no rigorous ascetic practices or rituals. Anyone, everyone can be a conduit for Reiki healing energy.

Reiki, which is both a name for theUsui 1 Universal Life Energy and for the specific method of connecting people to that energy, was discovered in Japan in the early 1920′s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a man deeply interested in the benefits derived from meditation and other forms of natural healing. In 1935, Mrs. Hawayo Takata, an American woman born in Hawaii of Japanese parents, was healed through Reiki of a life threatening medical condition while on a visit to Japan. Convinced of the effectiveness and importance of this completely natural healing method,Takata Mrs. Takata pleaded to be allowed to learn Reiki even though it was (and still is) held in an elite Japanese society called the Gakkai, with membership restricted to native Japanese. Undaunted by cultural differences, Takata persisted until finally her earnest desire for Reiki and her gentle demeanor opened the way for her to be trained by Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, the last Reiki Master directly initiated by Dr. Usui before his death.

After a year of training in Dr. Hayashi’s clinic, Mrs. Takata returned to Hawaii the first “outsider” to be taught Japanese Reiki and the first westerner to be made a Reiki Master. From its quiet debut in 1939 in Mrs. Takata’s clinic on the big island of Hawaii, Reiki in its westernized form has spread world wide, with Masters and practitioners in over forty countries on every continent. In one of the ironies of history, Reiki as it descends from Takata’s lineage of training is now the principle form of Reiki available in Japan as the Gakkai still does not make Reiki widely available.

With millions of practitioners across the world, and more trained daily, there is little doubt in the minds of Reiki practitioners–or of those who receive it–that Reiki is a powerful healing energy and the Reiki Method an easy, accessible way for everyone to enjoy health and quality of life. While evidence of Reiki’s healing properties is still mostly anecdotal, scientists are beginning to explore the effects of Reiki healing in a more formal context (see Research). We at the Traditional Reiki Institute believe we are at the very beginning of an amazing journey of discovery as research into subtle energies, and Reiki in particular, opens the way for new methods of integrating the best of western medicine with the best of eastern medicine for the benefit of all. In the meantime, the last seventy-five years of Reiki healing has demonstrated we can use these energies safely and effectively without scientific understanding of how Reiki heals at the cellular level. We already know all we need to use Reiki for powerful healing while we wait for scientific explanations to catch up.

The ability to channel Reiki healing energy to ourselves and others is not a learned “skill” acquired through study, practice, or some natural gift. Reiki ability is an “energetic empowerment” opened in the hands of everyday normal people by a Reiki Master trained in the subtle energy technology of Reiki attunements. Once a person is attuned, using Reiki is a very simple, pleasant, non-verbal, energetic “experience” that makes verbal explanations difficult to formulate and ultimately unsatisfactory. Just as describing joy bears little connection to the experience of joy, so too the words used to explain Reiki, while necessary for communication, are mere shadows of the energetic reality. When word descriptions are necessary, the easiest explanation begins with the word Reiki itself.

The word Reiki in its English form is both a noun and a verb. As noun, Reiki is the name of the ancient healing energies discovered in the early 1920′s in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. It is also the name of the method of natural healing developed around those energies and practiced by millions of people all over the world.

Kanji Reiki To understand Reiki as a verb, as the dynamic process through which energy rejuvenates and heals us, we must look at the word in its kanji form, that is, in the Japanese ideographic system of writing borrowed from the Chinese a thousand years ago. “Reiki” as written in kanji is composed of two ideographs, Rei and ki. Understood together these ideographs are a fluid expression of the relationship between the universal life force behind all creation, the energies of our bodies, and the mystery and method of Reiki healing.

Rei, the first ideograph, interpreted as Transcendent Spirit andRei Essence of Life denotes the Universal Life Force that creates, surrounds, and sustains all matter. In western terms, it signifies the non-visible quantum energy field that underlies all matter and energy. In terms of the world’s belief systems, it is the Source of Creation as that concept is expressed in the many names for God found throughout our cultures.

Ki (Chinese chi, Hindu prana, Indigenous mana) denotes the unique and individualized aspect of that Life Energy, the Inner Source, Life Force, or kipersonalized form of the Universal Energy that both creates and sustains every individual being. Ki (chi) is the Universal Life Force (Rei) stepped down in frequency to create the material world in linear time and space. The Ki of each person vibrates with unique frequencies of the Universal Life Force that are specific to the individual body and spirit. Like snow flakes everything that exists–from amoebas to humans and rocks to planets–has a unique vibration that comes from and is supported by the Universal Life Force. In the human body Ki is the energy of our cells, our DNA, our brains, hearts, and nervous systems, of our seven chakras. Ki is the energy within our meridians and nadiis and the energy of our auric fields. In its most primal and intense form it is referenced in Hindu tradition as kundalini.

Rei joined with ki to form Reiki becomes a perfect description both of the Reiki healing system Reiki and the Reiki healing process whereby a Reiki Practitioner acts as intermediary to join the Universal Life Force (Rei) with an individual’s life force (Ki) to return the ailing body to energetic balance and harmony, thus activating the body’s enormous power to rejuvenate and heal. The message Reiki healing energy carries to body and spirit is the message of Unconditional Love, of our great value in the universe. Surrounded and infused with Reiki energy, the wounded spirit heals, the vibrancy of our Ki is restored, our intent to live and love is reinforced. As the denser energies of fear, self-hatred, despair, and anger are released, as ki is replenished, the body finds the strength and the will to heal itself.

Dr. Usui received a method of energy healing unmatched in the history of the world for simplicity and directness of experience. Healing energies as they appeared in the past fit the definitions, beliefs, and restrictions of the cultural, racial, or religious structure from which they sprang. Reiki accommodates our need for healing outside of a specifically defined religious or cultural context yet reinforces the truth found in all religious and cultural beliefs. People of all ages, all religions, all belief systems, even die-hard skeptics and those with no beliefs at all have become Reiki practitioners. Reiki, as Dr. Usui received it and as Mrs. Takata passed it to the world, is uniquely suited to modern–to western–sensibilities: it is deeply spiritual yet outside of all religion. It is easy to learn, simple to use, and effective. It is the system of energy healing for the twenty-first century and beyond.”

Great expose into the orgins of Reiki Suzanne.

“Healer 2.0″ uses Evolutionary Energy Healing Therapies combined with Breakthrough Advances in Holistic Healing for Fighting Cancer, Disease and Life Transformation

Dr. Ravi takes the 11-11-11 spiritual awakening discussion deeper with his revelations into “Mantras”.

“We are store houses of immense energy. We can tap into this energy and hidden sources of information through the power of chanting. Some cultures – the Melanesians, Mbuti Pygmies, Cibique Apaches – promote successful hunting and fishing through chanting. Chanting is an important part of many Shamanic cultures, Shamanic chants are often invocations of spirit helpers, animals, and nature deities, and help prepare a shaman to be fully in their power when a ritual takes place. These chants are not “texts” in the same way that contemporary religious writings are texts. They may have occasionally been written down, but for the most part they were oral texts. When ‘tripping’ apparently, chanting helps towards an intensely spiritual experience. These methods and many others have been used successfully for centuries. Even though Buddha initially taught that mantras are not needed, he did eventually teach Mantra practices to various groups. Buddhist sects from Sri Lanka, for example, have chanted the Gayatri Mantra for hundreds of years. The great Kalachakra Mantra discipline was Buddha’s final teaching. It is now taught by Tibetans. In his book, ‘The Kalachakra Tantra’, the Dalai Lama writes, ‘Without depending upon Mantras……..Buddhahood cannot be attained’.

Many meditative traditions use Mantras. The words Amen, Shalom, Aum and Omkar are all mantras. Not just any word can be a Mantra. Mantras are special sounds that have particular characteristics and effects. Sounds vibrating in themselves have no literal meaning and are known only as vibrations. When they effect material substances, these vibrations create forms and their forms have names. The mantras are beneficial in their effect on the entire human being. It is said that in ancient times, sages, who devoted their lives to meditation, heard these sounds within.

A Mantra works through its resonance. Mantra’s have their own vibration. Each word within a mantra has its own vibration. A Mantra is a collection of words that have been knitted together in such a way that while reading them, the vibration produced generates energy.

This energy can be focused into a direction so that it can reach the Deity for whom the mantra is being chanted. Mantras can be used for both negative and positive energies. The vibration energy of the mantra does not die but stays in the atmosphere.

Chanting a mantra produces an actual physical vibration. This is one level of energy. Another level is intent. If the actual physical vibration is coupled with a mental intention, the vibration then contains an additional mental component which influences the result of saying it.

The sound is the carrier wave and the intent is overlaid upon this wave form. The mantra wave or energy can be compared with radio waves, for example, which can generated at one location and can be picked up in another location. The requirements for this to work are the generation of the waves, and an instrument that can pick up or receive these waves.

In the case of mantra chanting, the generator of the waves is the disciple chanting the mantra with intent and the receiving ‘instrument’ is the deity of the mantra.

In the modern world, the science of Mantra is difficult to understand because we have come to believe that only words, not meaningless sounds (Mantras), have truth or value. Mantras operate at a deeper level. A Mantra has an effect because of its qualities of vibration and sound rather than because of its literal meaning. Meaningfulness is a property of words, yet the goal in meditation is not to deal with meanings, using the analytical part of the mind, but instead to experience ourselves at a deeper level. All sounds have certain qualities. Some are soothing, others are energising. Some create abundance, some protect. One of the purposes of the sounds we call Mantras is to help us to focus the mind so we can attain a deeper experience than that created by thought alone. Group members who come from different religious backgrounds may worry that ‘Mantra practice’ comes from a foreign religion. It is important to realise that mantra meditation is not a religious process and is used by many traditions.

To make the mind empty is difficult as by its very nature, the mind changes, processes memories, makes associations and constantly takes in new information. Possibly the only time the mind becomes somewhat still is in the deep state of dreamless sleep. Because of these mental processes, one method to make the mind quiet and focused is to tempt or lead it to concentrate on one object or stimulus at a time. The goal therefore is not to make the mind empty, but to quieten the mind by giving it a single focus. (Hindu traditions for example, have many idols or Demi Gods. There are many thousands to choose from and you choose the one which appeals to your psyche. The purpose of ‘Idols’ within Hinduism is misunderstood and usually mocked by other religions. Even the general Hindu believer does not understand it fully. The idol is there to create a single focus mind, ‘worship’ of this idol is a by product. The idol is meant to be used as a symbol in meditation).

A word, phrase, sound or a symbol can be used to give the mind this one-pointed focus on which to concentrate. Mantras can be used to focus. The words Amen, Shalom, and Om (Aum) are all mantras. There are many sounds, syllables or words which can be used as mantras. Many aspirants try and co ordinate a mantra with their inhalation and exhalation. Not all mantras however can be utilised in this manner. Mantra is a powerful tool, a compact prayer. Constant prayer creates awareness and constant awareness leads to self-realization.

Carrying on with Mantras, many have asked about Mantra chanting during breathing, inhalation and exhalation. Not all Mantras can be coordinated with the breath during inhalation and exhalation. If you try to force the Mantra to follow the waves of your breath, you will end up creating a distraction for yourself and disrupt your breathing. The goal is not to keep on paying attention to the process of breathing. Soham mantra lends itself perfectly to our inhalation and exhalation. The Soham Mantra is a universal mantra and perfect for realigning your chakras and for centering.

All sounds have certain qualities. Some are soothing others are energizing. As readers of this Healer 2.0 blog come from many different backgrounds and religions I am proposing using a universal and a natural sound SO HAM to initially focus the wandering mind. What is SO…..HAM?

Soham (pronounced “So’hum”) literally means “I am Him”. Every soul has a presence of God in it. In other words, it means “God is within”.

This natural mantra, is the mantra of your true self. It does not belong to the East or the West or to any religion. So’ham is the inherent in everybody, in all of us; it repeats itself continually, along with our breathing. It is said that as long as this mantra keeps going on inside us, there is life in the body. As soon as it stops, we are no more.

The Bible tells us that in the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. But in the beginning, there were no words, no languages, or even sounds of humans or animals. So what was the Word that was in the beginning?

The ancient cavemen, before they had invented language or fire, would sit in their dark caves and have nothing else to focus on but the sound of their breath. Similarly, the first sound we hear when we were in our mothers’ womb is the sound of her breath, and this sound has been with us ever since we drew our first breath. It negates the need to rely on any of the words of the languages of the world to use as a mantra. It can be done even while driving, working, and doing other acts of daily life and thereby offers a continuous experience of being in the present. This is a great present, because Reality takes place now, in the present. Soham is a wonder-full meditation/focusing technique and I hope its constant application will bring you the experience of Knowledge, Consciousness, and Bliss that is your birthright.

In Sanskrit, the sound of the inhalation is termed SO, and the exhalation is HAM. Combined, the word Soham is translated as “I Am He/That”. So, whenever you are doing this technique, you are calling on God. Every breath thus becomes a prayer and adoration.

How SOHAM can be utilised to regain focus and how it can be used to center yourself.

At the time and in the place where you feel most comfortable, place your body in the position that you have found to be the most beneficial for meditation. Close your eyes. Close your ears by putting your thumbs in them, or by using earplugs. This will intensify the sound of your breath while diminishing the distractions that sight and sound bring. Focus on the sound of your breath coming in. Associate it with the word So. As your breath leaves, listen to the sound and associate it with the word Ham. To pronounce So and Ham correctly, listen to how they sound. For those just starting to use this technique, it is usual to silently say the word So with each inhalation and the word Ham with each exhale. When you are focused consistently, consciously, you will flow into simply listening to the sound of Soham. Soham is by far the easiest meditation. It comes to all living creatures without any effort. The following link illustrates precisely how SOHAM can be done or performed. It is much better than explaining.

Mantra is also considered a condensed form of spiritual energy. It can also be thought of as a compact prayer-a means of communicating with the absolute reality. The yogic scriptures often compare Mantra to a boat or a bridge that an aspirant can use to cross the mud of delusion created by the external world and to reach the center of consciousness within. According to some mystics and yogis, Mantra is an eternal friend who accompanies the meditator even after death, lighting the path in the realm where the light of the sun and the moon cannot penetrate.

I will discuss later how this happens.

Some consider that Mantra is itself the guru: Mantra, God, guru, and one’s Self are identical. This concept is difficult to grasp for those who are not familiar with the branch of metaphysics known as spanda, the science of eternal vibration. To explain briefly, spanda holds that all creation evolves from the Word. The Word referred to is not speech uttered by a human voice or the audible sound produced when two objects strike each other, but anahata nada, the unstruck sound which vibrates eternally in the realm of pure consciousness. This unstruck sound, the Word that existed before the beginning of creation, is called akshara, shabda Brahman, vak shakti, or spanda.

Although a full-fledged doctrine of the Word developed only in the East, this concept is found in all of the world’s great spiritual traditions, including Buddhism, Sufism, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, as well as in the spiritual practices of many tribal societies. For example, the Karadjeri of Australia believe that objects came into manifestation only after the first two humans pronounced their names. According to Kabbala, the medieval tradition of Jewish mysticism, God himself is transcendent, but a series of ten emanations of light (sefirot) that are his “manifest and noble aspects” issue from him. Divine names and letters, the twenty-two consonants of the Hebrew alphabet, emerged parallel to these ten emanations. The texts of ancient Sumeria also speak of the creative power of the divine Word, stating that the universe begins to evolve as thought arises in the mind of the divine being. Objects spring into being as the divinity utters their names. This is similar to the Old Testament account of creation, in which God speaks the manifest world into existence: “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” In the New Testament, the Gospel of John elaborates on this concept, saying: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

In the spiritual realm, the ultimate revelation, which is also the ultimate initiation, comes in the form of a silent communication in the universal language and is communicable to very few. That is why, in the end, Moses laid his hand only on Joshua and Krishna only on Uddhava. Christ gave the key of the Word to Peter.

The wisdom that is mantra has its source in supreme truth. However, it flows down to seekers in various grades and degrees. It clothes itself in the garb of different languages, and seekers identify it as a Sanskrit mantra, a Tibetan mantra, or a Buddhist mantra. Such identifications are only partially true. The transforming power of mantras, even in their articulate form, are beyond ordinary perception because they still are connected with the source.

Whatever form they take, the purpose of all meditative mantras is to enable the practitioner to go beyond the mind and have a direct experience of his or her essential nature. It is not the meaning of the mantra but its subtle vibrations that lead or carry the meditator to the center of silence within. However, this process cannot really be understood until it is experienced personally.

Another unique group of mantras, called sabar mantras, are extremely puzzling to the rational mind. These mantras are expressed in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Hindi, Urdu, and a number of Asian vernaculars and dialects. No interpretive rules can be drawn for this particular group of mantras. These sabar mantras can be in one language or a mixture of languages, and they may or may not have a specific meaning. Sabar Mantras never show the intended result unless one receives them directly from a master. It is important not to confuse a Sabar mantra with a Guru Mantra which is a part of the Guru – Disciple relationship. Sabar Mantras, are mostly for siddhis (spiritual powers) or immediate results and have no or very little spiritual value.

I like the Deep – Resonant Vibrations of some Sounds or Words in songs or language. As I was trying new things with my Voice training, I noticed some things had an Entire Spinal Benefit. From my male self all the way to the base of the Head and Throat. There was a healing and stimulating benefit. I am discovering new “Free Form Mantras” to Resonate my Body. I also agree with you Ravi in that a Focal Point is a Key also. I like a Single Small White Candle. It’s a “Fluid” Focal Point that is also Soothing to experience.”

There is Nothing More Devastating and Fear Inducing Than Hearing That – You have Pancreatic Cancer part 4

The Natural Art of Qi Gong ~ Proven benefits for Pancreatic Cancer

With the worst survival rate of all cancers and the devastating side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy alternative treatments for pancreatic cancer are the more sought after option.  One such alternative is Qi Gong…..

Origins of Qi Gong

Qi gong can be translated as ‘qi’ ~ vitality, life energy/force and ‘gong’ ~ meaning diligent practice, cultivation or refinement….

Therefore the meaning of Qi gong ~ ‘cultivating and refining your life force energy through diligent practice’……

Originating in China Qi Gong (also known as Chi-Gung) is based upon a set of health promoting practices.  It includes special forms of breathing, meditation and postures.

Scientific Studies Prove Benefits of Qi Gong for Pancreatic Cancer over Conventional Medicine

The Tientsin Chinese Medicine Academy (TCMA) has researched the effects of Qi Gong when applied to different medical conditions.

It has shown that even 20 minutes a day for mild diseases and up to 3 – 4 hours a day for serious conditions make a significant difference.

The TCMA’s studies revealed different results in patients with pancreatic cancer ~ for those who practice Qi Gong and those who only received chemotherapy.

The rate of “unscheduled DNA synthesis” (DNA repair) of peripheral blood lymphocytes in Patients who practiced Qi Gong for three months were compared with those who only received chemotherapy.

Both groups were also compared with a third control group without cancer.

Qi Gong Shown to Repair DNA

Although both groups with cancer had lower DNA repair rates than those without cancer, the Qi Gong group with cancer had a significantly greater improvement in their DNA repair rate than those who only had chemotherapy.

In addition a significantly greater proportion survived for five years in the group who practiced Qi Gong and took prescribed herbs (36%) compared with herbs alone (26.1%), chemotherapy alone (25.1%) or no further treatment (20.8%).

Qi Gong Exercises can Boost the Immune System for Pancreatic Cancer

Many of the reported benefits of Qi Gong were published in medical journals and include improvements in:

Immune function ~ Sleep ~ Appetite ~ Weight gain ~ Strength ~ Reduced diarrhea ~ Normalized blood counts ~ Improved overall health and less side effects following chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Further Studies show more impressive results of Qi Gong & Pancreatic Cancer

The largest study (1648 patients) did not have any control groups. The hospital in which it was conducted combined Qigong with other forms of conventional cancer therapy and reported better five-year survival rates than other hospitals.

Further studies showed the positive effects of Qi Gong on cancer cells with the inhibition of tumor growth and killing of malignant cells.

Which Type of Qi Gong is best for Pancreatic Cancer?

With over 5,000 types of Qi Gong ~ different histories and teaching methods, there is a richness of knowledge to choose from.  Your Qi Gong experience will be a personal journey with a teacher whom you connect deeply with.

One highly recognised type of Qi Gong is Taijiquan (ty chee chuan) ~ developed as a ‘soft form’ of martial arts around 300 years ago.  This is a gentle form of Qi Gong and ideal for those with more advanced medical conditions.

Taijiquan works with the energy and is distinctive for it’s slowly moving meditative exercises or posture changes that flow from one form to another.  Many of these postures have been paralleled after the movements of animals and are often described as “swimming in the air”.

“I Used Qi Gong to Beat Cancer ~ A personal story”

By Ben Ellal ~ A Survivor

The inspiring story of Ben Ellal who used Qi Gong to beat his cancer and is still going strong over 12 years later………

“In 1991 I was diagnosed with cancer and at the age of just 32, given 6 months to live.  My sons were aged 2 and 6 months, we had just built a huge house on a lake and my writing career was taking off…I had everything to live for.  Death was NOT in my plans!”

I decided I was going to see my sons grow up into men ~ that I would beat this disease.  So I got to work.  I researched everything I could about patients who had survived terminal illnesses.

A common thread emerged; meditation and visualisation.  Survivors utilized the mind/body connection to bolster their immune systems.

I started to meditate and visualise 5 or 6 times a day and started to see the benefits.  I decided I needed help to go deeper into the mind/body connection and contacted a Kung Fu Master.  He taught me the secrets of Qi Gong, or energy work, Chinese mind/body exercises used for health and martial arts.

I learned a standing meditation called Embrace the Tree, in which you stand, feet shoulder-width apart, sacrum tucked, head level and arms held in an arc in front of the chest.

The Chinese believe you can absorb energy from the atmosphere into a cavity on the top of the head, and energy from the earth from cavities on the soles of your feet. Holding your arms in an arc stimulates the thymus gland. The thymus kicks out T-cells, your body’s natural cancer killers….

I started doing the standing post for an hour, twice a day.  Eventually the pain was gone and so was the cancer.  That was over 12 years ago and I’ve been cancer-free ever since.

I practice Qi Gong every day to keep the wolves at bay.  And my sons have grown into men.

I kept my promise………”

The Practical Exercises of Qi Gong ~ We look at practical Qi Gong exercises and Embracing the Tree separately. To be Continued….
